We will carry out our work in a well planned and coordinated manner together with our partners and stakeholders, actively promote regional sustainable development, and with the close attention and support from all social sectors and stakeholders, improve the ecological environment, promote green development of regional economy and social progress, create tangible and intangible Olympic legacies, and stage a high-level and civilised edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games that would enable mutual support and development between the Olympic Movement and the sustainable development of the host city and the Region.
We will respect the diversity of cultures, traditions as well as the concept that everyone is equal. We will adhere to the Olympic concepts and strive to realise the goals of the IOC Code of Ethics. We will carry out our work in a fair and honest manner and eliminate illegal transactions that jeopardise fairness. We will strictly abide by standards and provisions of labour laws and regulations and protect the labour rights and human rights of our workforce. We will reject any form of discrimination on the grounds of race, nationality, religion, political views and standing, gender, disability and place of birth, and strive to achieve social inclusiveness. We will control disasters and safety incidents through preventative measures and ensure that other necessary measures are in place for the safety and health management of our workforce and other personnel involved in the Games. We will work with relevant organisations and institutions around the world and jointly take active measures to protect the ecological system and biodiversity, carry out environmental governance, strengthen environmental liability awareness and achieve sustainable development of the natural resources and the ecological environment.
We will establish a sustainability management system in line with the requirements of the International Organisation for Standard and integrate, as early as possible, the sustainability principle into the daily routine of all departments of Beijing 2022, so as to provide reliable, transparent and result-based guarantee for the sustainability vision of Beijing 2022. We will formulate sustainability management plans and set sustainability objectives, which will serve as a solid foundation for us to carry out environmental, social and economic work and achieve balanced development. We plan to align all events related to Beijing 2022 with ISO 20121 (Event Sustainability Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System). Meanwhile we will fully comply with ISO 26000 (Guide on Social Responsibility) and the UNGC (UN Global Contract) principles.
We will integrate the sustainability objectives into all project management teams and supply chains, effectively implement sustainable procurement, establish a sustainability standard system for Beijing 2022 that integrates monitoring, review, assurance and reporting, and provide sustainability reports on a regular basis, so as to ensure that all management-related contents are disclosed and communicated to the key stakeholders and the public in a transparent manner, thereby strengthening consultation and communication with the stakeholders and manifest the sustainability concept of Beijing 2022.
Through effective sustainability management, we will stage a "fantastic, extraordinary and excellent" edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2022.
